This is a strategy which involves proactively and continually working to attract candidates with the goal of ensuring they choose you as their next employer. A great example of this would be to hold regular networking events to help you keep in touch with top candidates.
This relates to a company’s reputation and popularity as an employer so naturally, this is very important when it comes to attracting candidates. 69% of job seekers do in fact say that they wouldn’t take a job with a company if they had a bad reputation – even if they were unemployed.
Candidate relationship management
With employer branding such an important factor when it comes to attracting top talent, how you manage your candidates is absolutely crucial. Improving candidate experience is a top priority for employers in 2018 and it’s not hard to see why. 98% of candidates who had a positive experience with a company say that they would refer others to apply for future roles.
Furthermore, 88% of candidates with a positive experience would increase their purchase with a company – even if they didn’t secure the role.
As social media continues to maintain its popularity, it makes sense for recruiters to reach out to candidates via this medium. While LinkedIn is of course a fantastic platform for finding candidates, job boards and sites like Glassdoor are also great ways to find, attract and hire people.
Showing how popular this method of recruitment is, a whopping 73% of millennials say that they found their last position through a social media site.
Technology is becoming increasingly intuitive and can also help to dramatically speed up processes. Perhaps this is why so many recruiters are turning to technology to help them make the right hires. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Recruitment Marketing Platforms are invaluable with it comes to using data to help plan and make decisions.
86% of recruiters do in fact say that using an ATS has helped them to hire faster and HR teams have been found to recruit twice as fast and more efficiently when using data-driven recruitment methods.
